This guide will provide solutions for IPTV not working with VPN. We’ve recently had multiple reports within the TROYPOINT Insider that Surfshark VPN United States servers aren’t working with various IPTV services. Users indicate that they can successfully use their IPTV service only if they connect through a VPN server from outside the United States.…

With ItTecbasics, I was blocked on US servers. Switched to Columbia and works fine.

Correct, I go through that in video and also talk about US servers that work with better speeds.

One reason I figured out was I did not update Surfshark on my NVIDA Sheild and probably need it updated too. After that it all worked with layers IPTV

I only had the described problem with Surfshark for ITTech Basics. This provider plays just fine with ExpressVPN with no server restrictions. I had the exact opposite problem with Apollo. Go figure. Nevertheless, a dedicated personal vpn server does sound like a cool option.

Dedicated IP address is a game changer but it costs more than the VPN itself . I wish I would have done this right when Surfshark came out with it. No more hassle at all when running a VPN.

well now that i watched your video and put what you said into practice i found that there are more then Lathem that worked for me.. besides the statics from NY.
Ty i love sitting under your learning tree
Just wish i could afford that router you talk about

Troy, thanks for your investigation into what is the actual issue with Surfshark US locations not working with selected IPTV services (and only those services). Makes total sense for what I have been experiencing (some work fine with Surfshark US locations and the ones you mentioned do not). Now, I have several workable solutions for getting my 1 year IPTV renewal to work as it had in the past. U da man – thanks again for everything you do for us.

Ipvanish works fine with Kemo services.

Not just Kemo IPTV

I have had this problem with Xtreme HD IPTV and Surfshark for months. Can’t use Detroit, and now I can’t even use Melborne Austrailia. I am now using another different country. It was Xtreme about a month ago who first recommended I use a different country. They must know of this problem. I have an ethernet connection with much slower download speeds being out of the U.S.

PM. I have some insight for you on this.

Hello everyone, this post wasn’t meant to hash out what the best VPN is as this has taken place a hundred times on this forum already.

This is like comparing if Windows is better than Mac, you will get differing opinions and there will never be a winner.

Unfortunately, this is hijacking this topic and we will start moving posts to where they belong.

Here is my statement again.

We always try to drive home the fact that some VPNs work better than others depending on outside factors such as Internet service provider, network, equipment, etc. Also, everyone has different use cases for a VPN service. One size definitely doesn’t fit all when it comes to choosing the right VPN!

Before Complaining Please Read This

All of our top 3 VPNs provide a 30-day money-back guarantee for their long-term plans. If one of them doesn’t satisfy your needs, simply ask for a refund and try a different service. Please don’t complain that you got ripped off and one of the VPNs doesn’t meet your standards. Take advantage of their money-back guarantees and move onto a different VPN that works for you!

This statement is pulled from our VPN rankings page at the following link.

And even though troypoint mention surfshark dedicated ip will not be on Android TV later this year but nordvpn has dedicated ip on Android TV already. And is dedicated ip safe to connected when using IPTV services

Interesting, I got on to my service provider and they supplied a DNS address to try, which worked on the Android box, without having to fork out for a dedicated IP, which was my next route.

I used Millvad until they started having issues. I then came here and picked up Surfshark. I could never access the IPTV app. Kept saying there was no internet access. But there was. I tried everything except other countries and couldn’t get access on Surfshark but could using Mullvad or without vpn. I didn’t know it was an issue for others too. After days of fighting it I gave up and got a refund from Surfshark. (BTW, if you have to do that don’t go through the chat, they don’t answer it. After a week of waiting for the promised acknowledging email I tried again. After another two days found their direct email and tried that. They jumped on that).

Now I’m wondering if it’s worth buying Surfshark again and chancing that it’s going to be an ongoing whack-a-mole thing and I’m going to have to drop by here to see if there’s been a new fix from time to time or just stay with Mullvad with its dwindling server options.

Xtreme HD is one that I have that problem with. I’m dropping them like a hot rock.. they are pricey anyway

Or, better yet, why don’t you just drop your IPTV service that is blocking VPN servers and get a different one? The common denominator here is Kemo/Lemo as Troypoint video shows. Or, you’re using a Kemo reseller named something else. @D3NN1S Xtreme HD is also a reseller of Kemo and he’s doing the right thing. We shouldn’t support these services that block VPNs, what a joke.

welcome

I wanted to share with the Troypoint universe a response from my IPTV service regarding blocking of Surfshark servers in the US that Troy writes about. I was going to withhold the name—but others have mentioned them already.

Thank you for reaching out:
We are not affiliated with KEMO IPTV, and we have no direct control over their actions. However, we recommend using alternative VPN servers, as the US servers might be facing some restrictions.

For the best experience, please try connecting to one of the following VPN servers:

Australia
Netherlands
Singapore
Hong Kong
India

These servers should work smoothly with Xtreme IPTV.

Let us know if you continue to experience issues, and we’ll be happy to assist further.

Warm Regards,

I don’t know who to believe. If they are not involved with KEMO why does their service have restrictions??

I don’t think we can trust what any IPTV service claims LOL. Xtreme HD is definitely a Kemo/Lemo reseller.
