It isn’t just due to cord cutting…no one with half a brain trusts these biased outfits.
They are reaping what they sowed with all the lies and theatrics.

Fox isn’t the only standalone with increased ratings. So is Newsmax. Since Troypoint is a politics no-zone, I have no further comment.

Liars lying 24/7 is the reason. I stopped watching Faux(Fox) midterms 2018. My hubby still watches so occasion’s I over hear🤢
My preference now is Real Americas News on Rumble.

I agree. MSM is garbage. They always made fun of Fox News but along came COVID and people started going to Fox, Newsmax etc. because they gave the truthful news. I’m Canadian but I watched both networks during those years and so I still listen to them. NEVER CNN

As the information environment evolves legacy media can’t help but double and triple down on what used to draw viewers. Lies. Their lies drove viewership and thereby advertisers. COVID and Musk freeing Twitter/X has changed the paradigm. I pirate watch legacy media from time to time and am astounded that they still have large, corporate advertisers while up and comers like Newsmax rely on supplement and gold advertisements. I never watch FOX.

It’s not just the news, the cable systems as a whole have priced themselves out of the market !

Most stations and news rooms are ownd by a few rich people. And they are all about commercials and cut their real news rooms, so you no longer have professionals whose job was to report the news and not give their opinions and try to be the news. Plus they don’t come with facts. Plenty on line outlets that tell the same lies.
